Role Title: Senior Practitioner/Counsellor
Hours: 20 per week
Salary: £15 per hour
Job Description
Thriving Survivors are seeking a skilled and experienced senior practitioner/counsellor to support a range of clients referred into TS core services. The role will include supporting clients via face to face, telephone and online interventions responding to a range of needs and adversities often experienced by individuals we support. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible in their delivery ensuring clients are treated with respect, dignity and responded to in a trauma informed approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide therapeutic interventions with adults affected by trauma, abuse and adversity
To maintain a caseload within the agency by forming therapeutic, trusting and respectful relationships with people accessing our services.
To maintain case notes, assessments, outcome data and any other information needed by the service.
To liaise with other Thriving Survivors services where appropriate
Provide administrative support to service manager as and when required
To liaise and establish relationships with external partners
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Training will be provided to the successful candidate, however suitable candidates will ideally have experience or knowledge of the following:
· A qualification within counselling or relevant field
· An extensive awareness within trauma informed practice and the impact of adverse childhood experiences
· Significant experience managing complex caseloads
· Awareness of current standards and legislation
· Ability to communicate accurately and effectively with colleagues, clients and other agencies
· Ability to draft and present information clearly and concisely
· Ability to build trusting professional relationships with those we support
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Suitable candidates will also require:
· To be computer literate, especially in use of Microsoft Office software
· Protecting Vulnerable Group [PVG] Scheme membership: Adults & Children (where membership has not been attained the suitable candidate will be required to meet the cost of the membership
