In 2026, Thriving Survivors turns ten!
A decade of resilience. A decade of challenge. A decade of change.

What began as a response to lived experience has grown into a national voice for trauma informed change, survivor leadership and systemic reform. Over the past ten years, we have supported individuals navigating trauma and adversity, influenced cross sector conversations, developed trusted partnerships and strengthened the role of lived experience in shaping services across Scotland.

This anniversary is not simply about marking time. It is about recognising the people, partnerships and persistence that have brought us here.

To mark this milestone, we are launching 10 in 10 – a carefully curated series of ten events and activities taking place throughout the year. Together, they honour where we began, recognise the progress we have made and shape the future ahead.

The 10 in 10 series will bring together survivors, staff, volunteers, board members, partner organisations, funders, policymakers, academics and supporters. It will create space for reflection, celebration, challenge and ambition. Some events will be intimate and restorative. Others will be bold and outward facing. All will centre lived experience while strengthening collaboration across sectors.

Through storytelling, dialogue, creativity, learning and fundraising, 10 in 10 will:

• Celebrate ten years of survivor led impact
• Strengthen relationships across communities and sectors
• Influence policy and practice through lived experience
• Launch new initiatives that carry our mission forward
• Secure support for the next decade of Thriving Survivors

This series represents both gratitude and momentum. Gratitude for those who have walked alongside us. Momentum for the work that still needs to be done.

Ten years on, our commitment remains the same: to ensure that survivors are heard, seen and valued, and that systems across Scotland respond with compassion, accountability and informed practice.

10 in 10 is not only a celebration of the past. It is a statement of intent for the future.
